Early Childhood Center
At the new Early Childhood Center, crews are in the final stretch of painting the building’s exterior. It looks marvelous! Also taking place outside, heavy equipment operators are moving dirt to prepare for pouring the concrete sidewalks. Behind the exterior walls, a great deal of work is also taking place. From wiring plugs, outlets and water heaters to insulation, ductwork and ceilings, it’s all hands on deck!
Early Elementary
At the Early Elementary, the two-class room addition is moving right along! With the masonry bearing walls completed and the fluid applied roofing almost done, the addition is beginning to take shape. Also, general site clean-up is taking place to prepare for the return of students.
Later Elementary
At the Later Elementary, construction is also moving forward on the two-classroom addition. Crews are making progress on the masonry bearing walls and the roofing projects are well underway. To provide access from the building to the playground, a new concrete sidewalk was poured, and new fire-rated storefront doors were installed.
Middle School Projects
Projects over the summer at the Middle School have been extensive. In addition to replacing exterior window systems to improve efficiency, there have been mechanical upgrades and five restrooms have been completely renovated. The new interior finishes on ceilings, walls, door trim and bulkheads reflect Red Wolves brand colors and collectively provide a cohesive, up-to-date appearance.
High School Tennis Court Renovation
Community excitement is building around the completion of the new tennis complex at the high school! Not only are teams practicing on the new courts but with eight fresh, new courts that are all safe and usable, PPHS is looking forward to hosting more home matches, tournaments and even the regionals competition this year.
High School Cafeteria Renovation and Expansion
In addition to the completion of the new servery area, the size of the cafeteria seating area has been reconfigured and expanded to accommodate all students in two lunch periods instead of three, which was necessary in previous years.
