Summer construction season has been in full swing, and progress is happening across the district. Here is a look at where each project stands.
Paw Paw High School’s Multipurpose Gym Addition
The competition gym addition is the most active site on campus right now, with multiple crews working in parallel toward a finished facility. Inside, painters have finished the wrestling and weight rooms. The maple gym floor has now been completely installed, transforming the space and bringing the gym one step closer to completion. Electricians and low-voltage crews are wrapping up wiring, testing cabling, and setting the last fixtures as the building nears the finish.
Outside, crews have reshaped the parking lot and poured new sidewalks and curbs. The new asphalt parking lot was laid last week, marking another significant milestone.
Baseball/Softball Restrooms and New Fire Alarm
The new restroom building near the baseball and softball fields is coming together quickly. Crews are painting the interior, wiring the electrical, running plumbing, and finishing the roof edges. Around the school, a separate team is installing the new fire alarm system and removing the old wiring as they go.
Transportation and Maintenance Buildings
Work is active at the district's transportation and maintenance facilities, where crews are updating the heating controls and electrical, with roofing scheduled next.
Elementary Campus
At the elementary schools, playground work is nearly wrapped. Four of the completed play areas are established and being watered in, and landscaping crews are blowing mulch at the later elementary playground to finish the last of the ground cover, providing students with safe, engaging spaces that encourage physical activity, creativity and social interaction
Projects Nearing the Finish Line
A few projects are down to their final steps. The STEAM renovation is buttoning up with a last round of testing before its final inspection. At the Early Childhood Center, drainage is in and the grounds are being restored.
Every project underway this summer exists because Paw Paw Public Schools’ voters said yes to their students' future. Thank you for your investment in our community.
