PAW PAW PUBLIC SCHOOLS BOND PROPOSAL 2021

BOND PROPOSAL INFORMATION

Vote August 3, 2021!

WELCOME

Dear Paw Paw Public Schools Community:

As the Superintendent of Paw Paw Public Schools, I could not be more honored to be part of this wonderful community. Since taking on this role 2 years ago, I have watched our district truly commit to developing, supporting, challenging, and inspiring every child for life-long success. It’s clear to me that the exemplary character of our students and our community, and the collaborative spirit or all those who support the work that we do here, are key pieces in the success of our district.

To ensure that we are building on this foundation of success, we must constantly evaluate the educational experience that we provide to our students. For the past several years, the district has been completing an in-depth investigation into all aspects of our facilities to ensure that they meet our goals as educators. Following a number of board work sessions, community conversations, staff meetings, and community surveys to gather input on our educational facilities, the Board of Education voted unanimously to place a bond proposal on the August 3, 2021 ballot in support of districtwide facilities improvements. This proposal is focused on flexibility, efficiency, and educational equity. The projects are wide in scope, and the details are described on this website.

The 1.00 mill increase required to complete the projects that are part of this proposal would generate $53.6 million. For a resident who owns a home valued at $100,000, this would result in a $4.17 per month tax increase.

Please take some time to review this website to learn more about the facilities improvements being proposed. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a time to meet, please contact me. I welcome any discussion or questions about the bond proposal.

I encourage all eligible district residents to vote on or before August 3, 2021!

Sincerely,

Rick Reo
